"Texas country" band

My true love and appreciation for music and lyrics started with the Randy Rogers Band.
I was 17.. and it was the summer of 2003, after I just graduated from HS.
A guy friend said he wanted me to hear a song that reminded him of me. He pressed play, for me to hear the line:
"You only want what you can't have and that's all there is to you, you've got your head in the clouds,
your heart is bulletproof..."

And so it began.
I went to my first show that same summer at River Road Ice House,
and they were opening for Jason Boland.
I remember the first song I heard walking up was "Company you keep."
I was hooked from the first live show.
The next summer I must have seen them @ least 10 times.
Then I moved to North Carolina... just as I began falling in love with Texas music.
I've been lucky enough to see RRB every trip home to TX and each time they've come to NC....
even if it was a 3hr drive just to see them play a whole 6 songs opening for Dierks Bentley.
They are a great band and a great group of guys.

The Randy Rogers Band is a touchstone for me. My husband sometimes accuses me of loving Randy more than him.
I probably could only argue with him up to a certain point on that, then give in.
They have never let me down-- the RRB are a constant in my life.
I will forever be one of their biggest fans.
