Maybe were not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. But all I could think of was how when nothing made sense and hadn't for ages, you just have to grab onto anything you feel sure of.

Cause you know what? Tragedies happen. What are you gonna do? Give up? Quit? No. I realize now that when your heart breaks, you gotta fight like hell to make sure you're still alive. Because you are... and that pain you feel, it's life.

The confusion and fear, that's there to remind you that somewhere out there is something better... and that something is worth fighting for.

You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.

I've said it too many times and i still stand firm, you get what you put in and people get what they deserve.

I feel like the squirrels that so often run in front of our car and then stand paralyzed in the forward crunch of the tires. I’m torn between the compulsion to run and the urge to stand still and hope the danger will pass.

Because you have to just go with the flow. Your life is not your own, with people coming in and out all the time. You get mellow because you have to.
